Management Plan
and a Maintenance Plan for our
313 trees and 70 vacant tree sites.
Pruning, removal, and replacement is performed for safety, for health and aesthetics, to minimize clearance conflicts for roofs, chimneys, buildings, pedestrians, vehicles, street lights, signs and roadways and to reduce risk to utilities and hardscapes. Some trees on our streets and on the Terviso Slope are replaced from time to time to reduce fire hazards, and to improve tree health risks and to increase our species and age diversity of all our street and slope trees. New trees will be planted to replace some removed trees and additional trees and shrubs will be planted to stabilize soil, adjust diversity, and to add color; here is a graphic of the slope in October 2009. Age and species diversity, and adjusting our pruning cycles, help decrease our overall maintenance costs of our 383 tree sites from upwards of $135/tree/year to around $35/tree/year. If you want a common area tree pruned, a new tree, a replacement tree, a tree removed or a tree located in a particular spot, please contact the Property Manager.
