Frazee colors are listed in the table, but other manufacturers’ matching colors are acceptable. Frazee colors with a code consisting of three numbers are standard. Colors with a four-number code require custom mixing.

Color Selection Rules

Stucco Color

Arizona White: The approved stucco color is Frazee Arizona White (Frazee # 182, or equivalent).

Note: Previously approved stucco paint colors varied in appearance and are still seen on some homes and fences. As time goes on, owners are required to replace previous stucco colors with Arizona White.

Trim Color

Note: Color options 1 through 9, and two colors in Option 15 (Desert Fawn & Burma Buff) were adopted after August 1999. Colors for homes being completely painted must be selected from Options 1 through 9 and the two added Option 15 colors (Desert Fawn & Burma Buff). Previously approved options 10 through 15 are also shown. Homes with older color schemes can be touched up using options 10 through 15.

Three Colors: Any of the colors within each option may be used. Select one, two or three colors from Options 1 through 9, or from two Option 15 Colors: Desert Fawn or Burma Buff.

No Mixing Between Options: No mixing between options please.

Doors And Trim: French doors and side (pedestrian) garage doors and their respective adjacent trim, must be painted Arizona White (Frazee #182) and not a contrasting trim color

Garage Door Color

Painting a WOOD Garage Door: Wood doors must be painted a color from the House Trim Paint Color Palette Options. Pick from Options 1 – 9 if you are painting the whole house. Pick from Options 1 – 15 if you are just replacing a garage door and matching a previous paint color.

Lightest Shade: It is suggested that Garage Doors be painted a single color, using the lightest shade of the option selected.

Painting a METAL Garage Door: New metal doors may be painted a color from the House Trim Options or Arizona White (Frazee #182).

Approved Metal Doors in Manufacturer’s Colors: Metal Garage Doors in manufacturers’ colors may be used as long as approved door – house trim color combinations are selected. See the approved color combinations at: Garage Door Color Palette.

This table may help sort through the choices you have to either paint your garage door or to obtain a door already painted in a manufacturer’s color. The choice can depend on which paint Palette option you already have or if you are willing to repaint all your trim. Depending on your preferences, you may be driven to certain colors.
